Beijing power company launches streamlined installation service policy
From:ChinaDaily   |  2018-03-21 18:46

State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company recently launched a new, streamlined power installation service policy, in a move to help local small businesses reduce costs and improve efficiency.

"The number of steps to get access to power has been reduced from six to three, and now users can finish all the procedures through a mobile phone without going to the service center in person three to five times, as before," said Wei Yanping, deputy director of the company's marketing department.

Since the launch of the service policy for low-voltage power users on Feb 8, the company has installed low-voltage facilities for 888 small businesses and other users, who on average got access to power within three working days after informing the company of their electricity needs, according to Wei.

"We increased the low-voltage power capacity to 160kW in accordance with electricity demands of small businesses, ensuring that the majority of small businesses could enjoy the benefits of our new service policy," said Wang Ziqian, a customer manager.

According to Wei, the company aims to make related procedures simpler and more convenient for small businesses, as well as other low-voltage power users, in line with the Beijing municipal government's call for optimizing the local business environment.

On Saturday, the Beijing Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce, and the Beijing Municipal Office of the State Administration of Taxation, Beijing Local Taxation Bureau and Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau announced a series of measures to improve the city's business environment.

Under the plan, relevant departments will take synergized measures to improve the efficiency of business registration, and the whole registration process will be shortened to five days by the end of March.
