IBorn Women's & Children's Hospital, a private hospital based in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, plans to open more outlets in the Pearl River Delta as the region has developed demand for high-end healthcare for women and children, according to a senior manager of the hospital.

"We will open more high-end medical and health services in the PRD region in the next three to five years," said Zhao Zhongqiu, chief executive officer of the hospital.

The hospital opened a new outlet in Shunde on Monday, providing pre-pregnancy healthcare, obstetrical and infant intensive care and postpartum rehabilitation services.

The Shunde outlet, a cooperative project between iBorn and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, occupies an area of more than 15,000 square meters, with an investment of over 200 million yuan ($29.94 million) according to the hospital.

According to Zhao, the hospital will open similar outlets in PRD cities in the years ahead, including Zhongshan, Huizhou, Shenzhen, Donguan and Zhuhai in the years ahead.

"Relying on the medical resources of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen, iBorn will provide more premier medical and health services for women and children in the PRD region," Zhao said.

Hou Hongying, president of iBorn, said the hospital would introduce more international medical resources to facilitate its expansion.

"As a private hospital, we will introduce more overseas medical facilities, suppliers and experts, aiming to provide better healthcare for children and women," Hou said.
