China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 1.9 percent year-on-year in December, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday.
China's CPI rose 2.1 percent year-on-year in 2018, up from 1.6 percent for 2017.
China's producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, rose 3.5 percent year-on-year in 2018, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.
It was down from a growth of 6.3 percent recorded in 2017, according to the bureau.
