A second C919 aircraft made for flying tests is due to have its first flight in the fourth quarter of this year, according to Shanghai-based State-owned Commercial Aircraft Corp of China Ltd, the manufacturer of the C919.

Altogether, six C919 jets will roll off the assembly line for flying tests. The second aircraft's test will be conducted on the engine and fuel system.
As China's first homegrown passenger jet, the first C919 made its maiden flight at the city's Pudong International Airport on May 5.
