A Singapore-based real estate concept developer opened its latest premium workspace recently in Shanghai, to better serve the burgeoning demands of the China market.

The space in Taikang Insurance Tower is the latest addition to Arcc Spaces’ Asia-focused portfolio. Covering 26,000 square feet of well-appointed space on the ninth floor of Taikang Insurance Tower at the heart of the Central Business District, Lujiazui, the space has more than 300 workstations and customisable workspaces, plus state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities, impactful event spaces and an exclusive drop-in business lounge, offering access to a diverse offering of amenities in the building for members as well as all Taikang Insurance Tower tenants. It also boasts a complete range of flexible spaces that support open thinking, networking and collaboration.

Bolstered by the country’s urbanization and industrial transformation, China’s co-working and smart working technology sectors show strong growth potential. By 2020, more than 42 million square meters of space in Grade A office buildings in key cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai, will move towards office sharing, according to real estate service firm Jones Lang LaSalle.

Capturing this rising demand is the driving force behind Arcc Spaces’ expansion in Greater China. According to Justin Chen, Deputy CEO of the company, “The launch of this new workspace in Shanghai represents a significant step forward in terms of the company’s expansion strategy. We've worked hard to create a new space where our members can feel both at home and be inspired at the same time, and we make it sustainable by fostering good relationship with stakeholders. For example, we constantly provide feedbacks to landlords regarding members’ view on the environment, helping them achieve greater success in business.”

At the launch event for Arcc Spaces Taikang Insurance Tower on September 25, two impactful panel discussions headlined a day of community and celebration.

Commenting on the new office launch, Carol Zhi, Executive Director at CBRE Office Service Shanghai said, “In addition to understanding and aligning with the interests of landlords, Arcc Spaces attaches great importance to client feedback and keeps timely communication with landlords, thus bridging the gap between clients’ and landlords’ needs, expectations and goals in this evolving market where flexibility and innovation is prioritised by tenants. I think their model is revitalising the traditional corporate real estate industry in China, and I believe the launch of this new office will bring their business throughout Asia to a higher level.” Across its portfolio of 20 properties in six of Asia’s key gateway cities of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Yangon, Arcc Spaces aims to create shared spaces that can cater to individual tastes and styles. By sharing in the business aspirations of members, Arcc Spaces is able to understand first-hand the evolving expectations and demands of a workplace, and subsequently, embraces the concepts to facilitate collaboration and exchanges between people in a dynamic economy.
