The Three Gorges
The Three Gorges have showed the magic workings of nature with their marvelous and beautiful mountains and waters. The Three Gorges runs across Fengjie and Wu Mountain in Sichuan Province and Badong, Zigui, and Yichang in Hubei Province, extending 193 kilometers long to include Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, and Xiling Gorge. Each of the three gorges has its special charm: the Qutang Gorge is imposing and magnificent, the Wuxia Gorge elegant and graceful, and the Xiling Gorge precipitous and perilous. There are the even more beautiful Lesser Three Gorges on the Daning River and the Lesser Three Gorges on the Madu River.
