Shanghai, June 20 - Canada China International Film Festival held its pre-launch event during the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival in Shanghai.
The first Canada China International Film Festival (CCIFF) will be held this September in Canada's Montreal, the official sister city of Shanghai. This event aims to combine Chinese and Canadian film resources and technology, to build a platform that fosters better communication and cooperation.
The film festival is recognized as one of the official events of 2015 - 2016: The Year of People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges between Canada and China.
Canada China International Film Festival is hosted by the non-profit organization Canada China Art-Tech.
Moreover, to mark the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Canada, the Canada China International Film Festival Committee, the China Film Archive and the National Film Board will launch a new event called Classic Movie Review to show respect to the two countries' classic movies.
