From:Shanghai Daily  |  2017-02-28 10:09

One hundred antiques from British Museum will be exhibited at Shanghai Museum from June 29.

The exhibits of the touring exhibition “A History of the World in 100 Objects” will include nine Chinese antiques, including a blue-and-white ceramic plate from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and a tri-colored pottery figure belonging to the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

One interesting item at the exhibition, which will be free to the public, will be a solar-powered light bulb that was made in Shenzhen in 2005.

The 100 antiques are among the 8 million collections from the British Museum that give a glimpse of the world history.

The first stop of the exhibition in China will be at the China National Museum in Beijing on March 2. The exhibition has traveled through Japan, Abu Dhabi, and Australia.
