第五届乌镇戏剧节主题为“明” 青年竞演和嘉年华开启报名

东方网记者姜文然5月23日报道：昨日，乌镇戏剧节组委会官方公布了2017年第五届乌镇戏剧节的主题为“明”；同时公布了青年竞演的命题、规则，并开启青年竞演和嘉年华报名，第五届乌镇戏剧节正式启动。

Shanghai, May 23- Wuzhen Theatre Festival Committee yesterday announced this year’s theme and the designated topic of Young Theatre Artist’s Competition. The registration for outdoor carnival also begins.

2017年是农历丁酉鸡年，中国古代《诗经》有记载“鸡既鸣矣，东方明矣”。因此，“明”也是第五届乌镇戏剧节与观众的约定与承诺。

The theme of theatre festival 2017 is “Luminosity”, which goes back to a saying in the Book of Songs, “The cock has crowed, and the east becomes bright.”

今年的青年竞演命题为“月亮、刀、伞”，参赛者将进行30分钟的演出。即日起至2017年7月31日，可登陆乌镇戏剧节官方网站www.wuzhenfestival.com进行报名。

And the topic of Young Theatre Artist’s Competition designated by the Festival is “Moon, Knife and Umbrella”. Time limit for contestants is 30 minutes. The registration will be available at www.wuzhenfestival.com by July 31, 2017.

乌镇戏剧节组委会将于2017年8月31日公布入围名单。18部入围作品将在乌镇戏剧节期间参与公开两轮演出进行初赛。评委会将秉承公平、公正原则，初评6-8部剧目进入决赛，由终审评出获奖作品并于10月29日公布名单。

The shortlist will be announced on August 31, 2017. The 18 finalists will participate in two rounds of open preliminary during the festival.

此外，今年的古镇嘉年华单元将提供更加开放的平台给予艺术家进行创作、表演、交流。全国各地的戏剧团、表演艺术爱好者即日起至8月31日，均可登录乌镇戏剧节官方网站报名参与。

During the Wuzhen Theatre Festival, hundreds of Outdoor Carnival groups from all over the world are welcomed to add splendor to the ancient town. The registration is also available at the official website.

据悉，从2013年5月首届乌镇戏剧节亮相至今，乌镇戏剧节已走过了四个年头，先后有近十万名观众走进乌镇戏剧节剧场，有近百万名戏剧节游客感受过乌镇戏剧节的热情。戏剧与乌镇不断相互交融，诠释、演绎着最真实也最梦幻的“东方戏剧梦”。

The Festival has gone through four years, attracting millions of theatre fans’ participation to enjoy live creation, performance and communication and to realize their oriental theatre dream.
