In May, 2019, China Railway Xi’an Group Co., Ltd., selected female students as bullet train drivers. Recently, the 29 female students have taken classes in a train. These reserve drivers are going to acquire the basic knowledge of high-speed railway, the traffic regulations and the crew working system. They have to stay in the rail service department to watch and learn from practice. Qualified students will become China’s first female drivers for bullet trains.
