Animals have a pet economy of their own
By:Wu Qiong  |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2019-10-28 14:31

Life is so uneasy, even for animals. They have to make a living by themselves.

In a pet hospital in Russia’s Rostov, a little raccoon is serving as a hospitable “receptionist”. His job is to receive pet patients at the front desk and lead the way for them.

In Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Lulu and Yezi are models for a local pet shop. Each month, they do shoots for countless pet products, raking in 10,000 yuan. Not only do they earn enough money for themselves, but also for their owners.

In Brooklyn, New York, a local cat café is hosting a cat-themed yoga class.

Customers interact with a duckling in a coffee shop in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

In a pet-themed café, there are four ducks and two piggies who are quite popular among the young customers. You have to line up for hours before you get a chance to play with the “star ducks”.

The first pet café in Moscow was recently opened.

In a café in Hangzhou, people take out their phones to scan the QR codes on the “cat waiters” to order coffee and desserts.

There is even an owl café in Moscow, similar to a cat café. Many of the visitors are fans of Harry Potter’s saga.
