Sparkly, exquisite and glittering. If you are familiar with the China International Import Expo (CIIE) last year, and are fashion conscious, you will never forget the pink diamond shoe valued at a whopping 30 million yuan. For the second CIIE, the exhibitor Gènavant is once again displaying its stunning pairs of stilettos.

But this time, it is showcasing affordable luxury to the Chinese audience.

Most of Gènavant’s exhibits are priced below 20,000 yuan, said the company staff. Diamonds on most of the shoes to be exhibited were replaced with artificial diamonds or other synthetic gemstones, but were still inlaid skillfully by hand and created by famed designers.

One of the exhibits is a pair of stilettos named “Rippling Waves” designed by Reggie Hung, Jimmy Choo’s designer godson. The pure white uppers are decorated exquisitely with inlaid synthetic white and green diamonds (including 26 main stones and 2260 decorative stones). The pair took 200 hours to make and is priced at 16,800 yuan.
