As a themed activity of the World Cities Day, the Shanghai International City & Architecture Expo, which recently kicked off, is showcasing ideas for Shanghai’s sustainable development.

Visitors can see how far the city has gone towards smart city construction, urban renovation, new urbanization and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

The picture above is a model of Pudong Football Stadium, whose construction is still under way. Once completed, it will be the first in China to meet the latest FIFA standards.

In the urban integrated transportation and parking equipment area, wireless heavy-load robotic arms demonstrate automatic parking on site.

In the crowded 5G application area, a visitor wears VR glasses to experience 5G+intelligent health care.

Shanghai is all in towards garbage sorting. At a booth, a visitor plays a garbage sorting-themed VR game following the instruction of an exhibition worker.

The above picture shows a new application from the Zhangjiang Artificial Intelligence Island. As the display screen shows, fire-fighting facilities, street lights, manhole covers, and plant irrigation systems can all be connected with IoT (Internet of Things).

A participating company is displaying its big data visualization solution, where the screen displays the real-time information of public transportation and security.

Shanghai is a port city, and the Shanghai Port has been a base of sand barges since the 1800s.

The picture shows a sand table scene model for an innovation park in Songjiang, a space integrating leisure tourism and agri-product sales.
