Chinese tourists are one step closer to immersing themselves in “Zootopia”.

After its opening in Shanghai, it will become the world's first Zootopia-themed land.

"This is an immensely exciting time forShanghai Disney ResortandZootopiafans alike," said Joe Schott, president and general manager of the Shanghai Disney Resort. According to him, since the plan of the themed land was unveiled early this year, tourists from both China and the rest of the world have been anticipating the latest land, whose construction marks another milestone of the project and continues Shanghai Disney Resort's commitment to constantly creating new and unique experiences for tourists.

The new themed land will be located adjacent to Fantasyland. Park guests will be able to enter the world of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde for the very first time, and discover what it is like to visit the most anthropomorphic place on earth.
