The world’s first book themed around emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) empowering public security was revealed at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2020.

Public Security Risk Governance in Artificial Intelligence Era focuses on four major types of risks -natural disasters, accidents, public health, and social security - and concludes that public safety incidents are highly global, complex and uncertain.

Currently, all countries and regions around the world are attaching great importance to the huge potential of AI in public safety.

The book states that public security governance in the AI era should ensure collaboration between the government, science and technology enterprises and the public. Meanwhile, information disclosure and data opening as well as personal privacy protection should be strengthened and algorithm discrimination needs to be avoided.
