Jiangwancheng Road is Shanghai’s first city-level boulevard adornedwithcherry blossoms. The southern section is 1,200 meters longandthere are 264 Guanshan cherry blossoms planted alongthe sidewalk. Another cherry blossom road is the section from Xin Songjiang Road to Wenxiang Road in Binhu Road, Songjiang District.
The flowering period of Guanshan Sakura is generally at the end of March or early April. Recently, most Guanshan cherry trees have entered the end of their flowering period, and half of the petals on the treesare falling with the wind. So, after this week, it will take another year to be greeted by thisdelightfulscene.
A streetcleaner,Xu Guangyuan, said that when passers-by gather to look at the trees, he thoughtfully restoresthe "flower carpet" blown away by the wind to a "full" appearance.
