Thousands visit Guangfulin Cultural Relics opening day despite heat

Visitors at theGuangfulin Cultural Relics on Tuesday.

Guangfulin Cultural Relics welcomed its first visitors on Tuesday. People from all over the city swarm into the relics despite the first orange heat alert.

Over 1,000 people came to the relics within an hour after it opened at 9am. The relic operators have taken precautions of the heat that they arranged an ambulance at the gate in case emergency happens because of the warm weather.

The first phase of the relics includesGuangfulin Culture Exhibition Hall to commemorate Songjiang poet Chen Zilong (1608-47), Fulin Pagoda, Zhiye Temple, City God Temple, Guandi Temple, a woodcraft exhibition hall, Fulin Porcelain Museum, Sanyuan Palace and Duoyun Shuyuan (academy), according to the Songjiang District government.
