Jing'an residents edit district's chronicle
From:Shine  |  2018-06-28 12:29

A collection of stories based on the lives of Jing’an residents was published on Wednesday.

The stories in the collection were written by ordinary individuals from a variety of backgrounds. They interviewed their neighbors, recalled childhood memories and gathered old photographs of 21 neighborhoods aroundJing’an, including some that did not survive the district’s urban renewal projects.

According to Zhu Huijun, deputy editor in chief of the book, the collection attempts to map local history from a perspective that includes folk voices, memories and stories.

Readers can access more photos and video clips of local life in Jing’an by scanning a QR code on the book.

The first 4,000 copies will be sent to Jing’an residents.
