The majority of repeat miscarriages can be linked with immunity problems, experts said over the weekend.

Repeated miscarriages are increasing along with a rise in unhealthy lifestyles, high levels of stress, and environmental factors. About 80 percent of repeat miscarriages can be related with immunity problems, medical experts told the American-Sino Joint Meeting of Reproductive Immunology in Shanghai over the weekend.

“We use repeated miscarriage as the risk target for early intervention and guidance,” said Dr Li Dajin, vice president of Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital of Fudan University. “We have developed a comprehensive system to give individualized and precise immunological therapy for couples suffering repeat miscarriages."

Dr Li stresses that patients should visit their doctor if they suffer two miscarriages in a row.

Experts said it is wrong to blindly follow traditional methods to prevent miscarriage, such as using improper hormone injections.
