Three people were killed in an accident on Sunday night around 9:40pm when a signboard of a souvenir shop collapsed on Nanjing road E., according to the information office of Huangpu District.

Another six were injured and taken to the hospital. They were in stable condition, the office said in a statement posted on Weibo.

Local administration of work safety has started to investigate the case, according to the statement.
