A unique group wedding ceremony was held on a wooden roller coaster at Shanghai Happy Valley, in Songjiang District Saturday morning.

Twelve couples walked through red carpet, kissed each other, exchanged vows and took a ride on the roller coaster.

The wedding was originally scheduled on Friday to mark Qixi, known as Chinese Valentine’s Day, but was delayed because of Typhoon Rumbia.

A total of 1,187 couples tied the knot in the city on Qixi,according to the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau.
