Suburban Jinshan District is promoting its hospitality industry for the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) which kicks off in less than 30 days.

A district official said there are currently 31 hotels in Jinshan with more than 80 rooms. All staff and personnel working at these hotels are being trained to provide better services to customers.

Jinshan is known for its rural scenery and city beach. Unlike downtown Shanghai, the district boasts a cozy countryside ambiance.

The district has introduced four tourism routes to visitors who want to explore something off Shanghai's beaten paths. All four routes offer visitors a 2-day trip. One route takes visitors to Fengjing Watertown where they can experience the Jinshan peasant painting arts reflecting the lives of local people, another leads visitors to the city beach.

Apart from leisure services, Jinshan is also looking forward to the CIIE for opportunities to woo more investors to the district.

In September, the district invited companies and organizations that will participate in the expo to Jinshan. They were shown the recent industrial development of the district, especially its intelligent manufacture industry.

The district will continue inviting company representatives and organize industry conferences in October and November, and it aims to establish connections with at least 30 companies by the end of the CIIE.
