Airlines move operations to Hongqiao T1
From:Shine  |  2019-11-20 18:29

Xiamen and Hebei airlines will move their operations in Shanghai to the T1 terminal of the Hongqiao airport from T2 on November 26.

All flights operated by both carriers will be moved to T1 as of midnight Monday to optimize resource allocation between the two terminal buildings of the Hongqiao airport, the Shanghai Airport Authority said on Wednesday.

The check-in counters of the two airlines will be in the D section of T1. Passengers will be able to experience full self-service boarding procedures at the new terminal as well, the airlines said.

Xiamen Airlines operates 40 takeoff and landing flights at the Hongqiao airport every day between Shanghai and Xiamen, Fuzhou, Shenzhen and other cities in southeast and south China. Hebei Airlines operates two daily flights to and from Shijiazhuang in central China.

Xiamen Airlines recently opened a Shanghai branch.

Based in the popular tourist city in southeast Fujian Province, it has became the third domestic airline, following Air China and China Southern, to open a branch in Shanghai.
