Tea ceremonies, like these at a previous event, will feature at the 2019 China Tea Fair Shanghai from November 29.

The 2019 China Tea Fair Shanghai which starts in Pudong New Area on November 29 will feature around 30,000 varieties of tea and tea-related products along with a variety of activities to promote tea culture, its organizer announced on Thursday.

The four-day fair at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center will have 1,000 booths and a display area of 20,000 square meters.

Teas such as Pu'er, Oolong, flower, black and green, and tea ware, tea suits, tea sets and tea-related handicrafts will be on display. There will also be teas from India, Japan and Sri Lanka.

A forum on future trends ison November 30, and a competition to pick the best tea ceremony masters will take place on December 1.

A talk on tea culture for young people will be held, and intangible cultural heritage inheritors, tea culture scholars, painters and authors will share their understanding on topics such as the collection and sipping of Pu'er tea, tea and Chinese culture, and the appreciation of tea ware.

The event is being hosted by China International Tea Culture Institute, China National Tea Museum, Shanghai Services Federation, ShenzhenTea Culture Promotion Association and Shenzhen Huajuchen Industry Co Ltd.
