Two nurses from the Shanghai medical team heading to Wuhan celebrated their birthdays on Thursday, the second day after arriving at the heart of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Yu Shuting and Zhu Jiangying are among the 513-member team from Shanghai that headed to Wuhan this week. The team, consisting of personnel from six local hospitals, will serve at the Leishenshan Hospital, the second emergency hospital for coronavirus in Wuhan.
Team members first went to the hospital to get familiar with the environment and receive training.
Yu and Zhu were among the 51 personnel from Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital. Their colleagues helped celebrate their birthdays and sang birthday songs on the bus to Leishenshan on Thursday.
