Parks and green spaces should use non-contact techniques such as online ticket sales and scanning for payment and limit the number of visitors when they reopen.

The number of visitors should be known at all times and a warning issued when capacity is neared, according to the guideline issued by the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture on Friday.

Amusement facilities and wild animal areas will remain closed. Exhibition halls, performance areas, eateries, sports venues, tea houses, and all enclosed areas inside parks should also remain closed.

Exhibitions, performances, festivals and sports activities where people are likely to gather remain suspended.

The number of visitors should be limited, and their temperature taken upon entrance. Visitors should be registered and maintain a 1-meter distance from one another, according to the guideline.

People should stagger their visits and not feed wild birds.

Dancing, playing cards and chess are banned, and visitors should wear masks.

The guideline also covers the disinfection, stating that fallen branches and leaves should be cleared away and a clean environment ensured.

New or rescued animals should be kept in quarantine at zoos.

Patrols at parks should be increased.
