Another 22 coronavirus patients were discharged in the city yesterday, including three who had been in a serious condition.
The Shanghai Health Commission said 249 of 335 patients reported so far — 74 percent — had recovered as of midnight Saturday, including seven who had been seriously sick.
Dr Zhang Wenhong, the head of Shanghai’s coronavirus expert team, said the success rate was due to patients being gathered in designated hospitals with the best experts from all the city’s hospitals.
“We are happy that our efforts have achieved such good results as more patients, especially those who were serious, are discharged.”
