To ensure the smooth operation of the third China International Import Expo in November, the closed-loop management of both domestic and imported coronavirus cases is to be enhanced.

Authorities will conduct quick temperature screenings at major traffic venues such as airports, railway stations and Metro stations, while ensuring ventilation and stepping up disinfection.

People with a fever will be sent to designated medical facilities for diagnosis and treatment, while all people arriving from overseas will have nucleic acid testing and undergo quarantine for medical observation.

There are 117 fever clinics and 200 fever surveillance sites around the city.

“Pre-planning isperfected to protect this year’s CIIE under the current epidemic,” said Qin Jing, vice director of the Shanghai Health Commission.

There will be five medical stations inside the conference venue and the media center. Each will be equipped with four medical professionals, two medical volunteers and one service volunteer.

Twenty-nine hospitals with designated facilities will provide medical services, emergency support, patient acceptance and infection disease screening.
