Intervals between Metro Line 2 trains will be further shortened for the China International Import Expo in November, the city’s Metro company said yesterday.

Currently, the shortest interval between trains on Line 2 is 2:40 minutes.

This year’s import expo will be held again at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, which is near East XujingStation on Line 2 and Zhuguang Road Station on Line 17.

At East XujingStation, which expects a huge volume of travelers to attend the expo, the company said it’s considering ways to combine temperature screening and security checks for passengers.
