Orchids are in full bloom at the Chenshan Botanical Garden.

The gardens are a colorful scene.

Seas of flowers and beautiful melodies will be featured at the Chenshan Botanical Garden in Songjiang District during the upcoming eight-day National Day holiday.

The garden will host an orchid exhibition and cultural feast for its Natural Life Festival.

It will present 10 "ocean landscapes" including sea wave, island and lighthouse combining orchids and landscape design from Monday to October 8. A 20,000-square-meter autumn flower sea featuring sunflowers has also been created.

Orchids are also on display at the garden's two greenhouses. Some rare varieties are featured.

Lectures on orchids, and garden parties will be held as well.

Sixteen musical play performances and 32 art experiences are part of the festival.

These will include children's plays, band performances, chorus, and jazz music, and children will be able to experience classical music, chorus, brass-wind instruments, musical play performances, and traditional Chinese operas during the holiday at the garden.

Two greenhouse concerts, a camping festival and a food market, are also on offer.
