Former vice president of Shanghai INESA Holding Group jailed

The hearing of the three officials of Shanghai Jinling Co. at Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court on Sunday.

She Baoqing, former vice president of Shanghai INESA Holding Group, a state-owned solution provider and operator for establishing the smart city, was sentenced to 16 years behind bars for graft, embezzlement and destroying accounting records, the city court said on Sunday.

She, also the former president of Shanghai Jinling Co, a listed company for supplying electronic products whose controlling shareholder is INESA, was fined 830,000 yuan (US$122,000), the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court said.

Two other officials of Jinling, former chief accountant Ge Gengqi and former general manager Xu Weiwu, were imprisoned for 14 years and 13 years and three months over graft and embezzlement, with fines of 400,000 yuan.

According to the investigation, during 2004 and 2017, the trio took advantage of their positions to embezzle Jinling and two subsidiaries. She and Ge embezzled over 1.6 million yuan in total and Xu nearly 1.3 million yuan.

Between January and March in 2004, they also misappropriated over 2 million yuan from three companies fund for equity purchase in the name of the individual.

In 2014, She instigated others to hide and destroy financial documents to cover his crimes.

Further investigations into related people are underway, the court said.
