Camping at Dinghai is fun.

The Dinghai District of Zhoushan City, in neighboring Zhejiang Province, presented its cultural and tourism splendors as well as seafood delicacies on Sunday at the Shanghai Tourism Festival.

Three micro-tourist routes of Dinghai were released, taking tourists to its island resorts and countryside

Areas of interest includeLongtan Ancient Street, Yuanyang Fishing Town, Ma'ao Museum, and hiking and camping onCishan Island.

Dinghai and Shanghai have had very close economic, social and cultural exchanges since ancient times, said Wang Qifeng, deputy governor of Dinghai District.

More recently in an immigration wave in the 1930s, many Dinghai people, including businessmen, moved to Shanghai and prospered, said Wang.

It is hoped that the promotion will further the cultural and tourism cooperation of Shanghai and Dinghai and promote their cultural and tourism development.

Ten signature Dinghai seafood and countryside cuisines were showcased.

Dinghai District inked a cooperation agreement with Hongkou District to promote their cooperation and exchange in industry, finance, science and education, culture and tourism earlier this year.
