Children enjoy an intangible cultural heritage bazaar inZhujiajiao.

Intangible cultural heritage products, musical performances, water parades and food delicacies are among the National Day holiday offerings at the Dianshan Lake area in Qingpu District.

A Saturday night shopping festival was the prelude toa monthlong cultural and art festival.

In Zhujiajiao watertown, craftsmen from the Yangtze River Delta region are showing off intangible cultural heritages such as Xitang pankou (frog fasteners), Sanlin embroidery, Qingpu watermark prints,jiaobai (wild rice shoots) leaf weaving, Tongluo yellow wine brewing and Jiashan woodcarving and painting.

Residents and tourists are invited to learn from inheritors of intangible cultural heritages.

Jazz, rock, electric music, river parade, Pingtan (storytelling to music in Suzhou dialect) and Kunqu Opera performances are also staged.

The monthlong festival comprises more than 60 events such as ahanfu (traditional Han-style clothing) show, exhibitions, and a singing competition, according to the Qingpu District government.
