International Channel Shanghai (ICS) launched its new multilingual WeChat service, ShanghaiEye on Nov. 18, 2015. The account featuring 4 languages including Chinese, English, Japanese and German will provide a variety of contents to the expats living in Shanghai and build the brand image of the city.

As a member of Shanghai Media Group (SMG), ICS has an influential voice in Shanghai and international market. The new-launched Wechat account operated by ICS is a new pattern to explore the integration development of traditional and new media.

This platform is aimed at offering expats who live in Shanghai and concern about Shanghai various interesting and practical information regarding Shanghai and China. The contents will contain economic development, social features, travel, food, life, culture, entertainment, language education, foreign policy release and interpretation and service guide.

The launching ceremony was attended by reporters and editors from overseas media and the city’s foreign-language media like Eastday.com and Shanghai Daily.
