Peter Vesterbacka to unveil a wave of entrepreneurship in Shanghai
By:Wu Qiong  |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2017-08-09 14:41

Peter Vesterbacka, co-founder of Rovio, the developer of the popular “Angry Birds” mobile game, showed up at Tongji University last weekend during a launch event for the 2017 Slush Shanghai.

From October 12 to 13, around 3,000 entrepreneurs, investors and journalists from 50 countries will gather at Shanghai’s Changyang Valley in Yangpu District and participate in a series of events related to entrepreneurship.

Created in Finland in 2008, Slush is a global community event series for startup and tech talents to meet with top-tier international investors, executives and media. The very core of Slush is to facilitate founder and investor meetings and to build a worldwide startup community.

This year, one of the highlights is a designated “speed dating area” at the event venue, where entrepreneurs and investors will be automatically paired up by AI for a face-to-face meeting.

According to Peter, who is also the founder of Slush, the reason for introducing Slush to Shanghai is that he hopes to build some connections between Chinese entrepreneurs and foreign investors, and between China and Europe.
