The Organizing committee of the 2017 Simple Life Festival which is scheduled to be held from October 4 to October 6 at Shanghai Expo Park in Pudong declared on August 10 that this year's festival theme is "A Simple Day", meaning "each unusual moment is from a simple day".

Originating from one of Taipei's biggest music festivals, the festival has been considered as a musical, creative and cultural feast by arty people and music lovers in Shanghai since it was introduced to the city in 2014.

Based on the theme, the main visual depicts numerous colorful paper planes flying faraway in a convergent stream. Each airplane symbolizes youth's precious creations and the rich color represents the diversity and personality of each creator." The convergence of a flock of paper planes reveals the present booming creation strength." a staff responsible for visual design explained.

Different from the past festivals, the organization commission raised up a "2017 limited version" content plan which will showcase more youth's works so as to be exposed to and cherished by the public. Moreover, more diversified and younger music performance cast will be arranged for the festival.
