Shanghai, August 14- The city will take on a new look in the second half of this year as many districts are making efforts to improve themselves.

Highlights in the second half of 2017: Hongkou District

Key word: Characteristic Parks

The district is accelerating the establishment of Silicon Alley-type sci-tech innovation parks in the second half of the year.

In addition to the existing 32 parks covering 640,000 square meters, Hongkou will speed up the development of Handan Road and Xinye Fang Projects.

Notably, a batch of high-level real estate developers will be introduced.

At the same time, the district will also optimize the remising-land methods to speed up the development of the projects under construction.

Key word: Old City Renovation

The district will ensure that a 125,000-square-meter old urban area will be renovated within the year which will benefit 5,000 households.

In the second half of the year, a number of new projects such as Belle and Quyang Road Renovation will be launched simultaneously.

Housing Guarantee System will be orderly promoted. The construction of the Rainbow Bay City’s Phase III and IV will also be promoted by the node. The district will complete the 3-million-square-meter old house renovation.

Hongkou will promote the implementation of the Rainbow Plan and increase the coverage of community school groups.
