Adelegation of eight led by Mr. Egry Attila, deputy mayor of the 8thDistrict of Budapest in Hungary, paid a visit to Changning district from November 24 to 27.

While in Changning, the delegation went to visit Tianshan Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Hospital, where they first toured the TCM Comprehensive Therapy Department and Acupuncture Department and heard an introduction to TCM therapies and ways of health preservation, and then they came to the Preventive Treatment Department, where they learned about the TCM concept of preventive treatment of disease and had a try of some TCM therapies, such as moxibustion and traditional massage. Finally, Dr. Nyírő Melinda, a member of the delegation, gave a talk to the management and doctors of Tianshan TCM Hospital on medical development in her district and expressed hopes for setting up a TCM hospital there and for more medical exchange with the Tianshan TCM Hospital.

During its stay in Shanghai, the delegation from Budapest also took part in the first Changning International Semi-marathon. Wang Weiren, secretary of the CPC Changning District Committee, and Gu Honghui, head of the Changning District Government, cordially met with the delegation and expressed warm welcome to the Hungarian guests. They expected Changning and District VIII in Budapest to carry out friendly exchange under the Memorandum on Friendly Exchange and wished their friendly relationship and cooperation better development. The delegation expressed appreciation to Changning for inviting it to attend the marathon race and a hope for more friendly cooperation in the economic, cultural, health, sports and other areas between the two districts.
