A number of photos showing a food deliveryman taking his eight-month-old baby to work went viral online, earning sympathy from netizens.

The father, named Yu Shujiang, is nicknamed “Kangaroo Daddy” as he carries his baby in his “pouch.” Wearing a pacifier, the baby seldom cries and stays very calm.

The photos have raised many people’s concern. They worry it is dangerous for Yu to take the baby to work. As a matter of fact, Yu has been taking his son with him since he was six months old. As his wife suffers a comminuted fracture in the right leg and there is no one else in the family to look after the baby, Yu has no option.

To keep the baby warm during cold weather, Yu even modified his electric bike by adding a windshield and a canopy on it. He and his son also wear specially-made leg pads to protect their legs from the cold. However, riding an e-bike with a baby poses many potential risks to the safety of the riders.

Much to the relief of many people, the company Yu works with has sent their sympathy and condolences for him. To relieve his burden, he is also allowed to stay at home to take care of his family and can continue his work until his wife gets better.
