Two dozen watercolors reviving the glory of the Yangpu riverside industrial belt are on display in the Yangpu riverside area.

The artworks created by famed Chinese artists feature iconic industrial buildings with a history of around 100 years in the district.

As a birthplace of China’s modern industry, Yangpu riverside has been called the largest industrial belt in the world by UNESCO. It is home to many of China’s earliest industrial factories, including the Yangshupu Waterworks, Yangshupu Power Plant and Yangshupu Gashouse.

Unlike previous years, the exhibition is being held in the Yangpu riverside area, where the objects of the exhibited artworks cluster. After the show was inaugurated on December 25, a tour around the Yangpu riverside was organized for the audience to know more stories about the past and present of the industrial heritage of the century-old buildings in Yangpu.

Free to the public, the exhibition is open from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on weekends.
