City issues taxi service guidelines for Import Expo
By:Wu Qiong  |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2018-10-22 09:03

Acting as a first-point-of-reference for Shanghai’s city image, the taxi trade is making efforts to better serve the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIEE). To rev up its services, the Shanghai Municipal Urban Transportation Administration has recently issued service guidelines to the 50,000 taxi drivers across the city.

The guidelines specify standard requirements for taxi services, vehicle appearance and service procedures. Taxi drivers must follow four standard procedures and 16 steps when serving their customers.

Notably, the taxi drop-off points around the National Exhibition and Convention Center, the host venue of CIIE, are clearly marked on the guidelines. Taxis are allowed to drop off their passengers near Shenwu Road or Panxiu Road.

The Import Expo will take place between November 5 and 10, during which over 2,800 enterprises from more than 130 countries will showcase their products to Chinese buyers.
