The first CIIE boasts the largest number of exhibits with highest value in domestic exhibition history. Among all the exhibits, 5000 pieces have come to China for the time. The exhibition will gather new and premium products, latest technologies from across the globe, ranging from agricultural products and food, to cutting edge medical equipment, and anti-cancer drugs.

The China International Import Export is the first state-level exhibition themed around import and is comprised of Country Pavilion for Trade and Investment, Enterprise and Business Fair as well as Hongqiao International Trade Forum. There will be 71 pavilions set up for 82 countries and 3 international organizations, with a total area of about 30,000 m². The relevant countries and regions will be invited to participate in CIIE to showcase their development achievements of trade and investment, including trade in goods and services, industries, investment and tourism, as well as representative products of the country or region with distinct features. 

12 Guests of honor including Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, Russia, South Africa, Vietnam and the United Kingdom have all set up their unique pavilions. China，as the host, also has an independent pavilion, including a dedicated booth for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The Enterprise and Business Fair will be organized into seven Business and Enterprise exhibition halls with a total exhibition area of 270,000 m².
