Produced by Ganis, once the President of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the micro-movie A Children's Song depicts the story of the Shanghai people accepting and helping Jewish refugees during World War II. It has won lots of awards at international film festivals and is currently being shown by the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum.
"The first time I heard this story was in Shanghai, and I was very surprised and touched. I thought maybe we can tell the story of what happened in Shanghai to China and even the world. The micro-movie ‘A Children's Song’ allowed us to see the reaction of the audience, and now, we are close to starting to make a movie," said Ganis.
He revealed that currently the preparation work is undergoing, and the movie production work on the basis of the micro-movie is expected to start next year.
