An integrated circuit section will be added in the Technical Equipment exhibition area, announced the organizing committee of the China International Import Expo(CIIE) at its first promotional meeting for next year’s event.

In recent years, China’s integrated circuit industry has developed rapidly, making China into the world’s largest and fastest growing integrated circuit market.

Since the development of integrated circuits has become the core of the information technology industry, the next CIIE is to attach great importance to the field.

According to Liu Fuxue, deputy director of the China International Import Expo Bureau, this change will not only further improve the professional level and quality of the exhibition, but also build a chain ecology of the integrated circuit industry and boost the innovation of domestic enterprises in related fields.

Leading foreign companies in the field also took part in the meeting. Shen Bo, global vice president of ASML, spoke highly of the Chinese integrated circuit industry at his speech and believed that introducing the industry to CIIE will no doubt facilitate its development.

In the view of GuoTao,vice president of Qualcomm, CIIE can provide integrated circuit companies with better mutual learning opportunities and increase inter-industry cooperation and also communication with government institutions.
