The Cabinet of Ukraine announced on June 8th that visa on arrival at Kiev airport is open for Chinese passport holders from June 20 to September 30, 2016.
Chinese tourists need only hold valid airline tickets, hotel bookings and pay 2550 Gerry visa fee to easily get a within 15-day visa. But the visa on arrival is only available at Kiev Boryspil International Airport. In the future, the policy will also apply to the Odessa Airport and Lviv Airport. The visa system of Ukrainian embassies and consulates for Chinese citizens remains unchanged.
Ukraine used to attract more than 20 million foreign citizens every year (23 million in 2012). But since 2014 the number has lowered to about 10 million.
