A migrant worker was killed yesterday when a construction elevator fell 10 meters at a shopping mall being built on Lianhua Road S. in Minhang District.

The victim, surnamed Xie, was helping another two workers take the elevator apart when the accident happened. The other two workers suffered head, chest and leg injuries.
