Lanterns illuminate Yuyuan Garden in downtown Shanghai last night as workers test lighting at the city's signature tourist attraction to prepare for the annual lantern show. The show lasts from Chinese New Year's Day on Sunday to the Lantern Festival, or the 15th day in the first month of the lunar calendar that ends celebrations marking the Year of the Tiger.
