The city's tourism festival lowered the curtain yesterday after the last show of Shanghai International Musical Fireworks Festival at Century Park. A total of 8 million visitors took part in this year's fest, according to the Shanghai Tourism Administration.

More than 40 events were held during the 25-day tourism festival. Apart from the traditional float parade and rose wedding, some first-appeared events became visitors' new favorites such as the Top 8 Scenic Spots Selection and the Hip-Hop Competition.

Also, Expo tour packages were launched here along with a number of Shanghai-style city packages designed for the foreign visitors.
