The city kicked off construction of a Yuan Dynasty (1270-1368) watergate relic museum and park at the cross roads of Yanchang Road W. and Zhidan Road in Putuo District yesterday.

The 800-year-old water facility relic was first discovered in 2001 and was finally excavated in 2006. The well-preserved relic was cited as one of the country's top 10 archeology finds of 2006.
