A YOUNG man was sentenced to two years in prison yesterday for causing a traffic accident and ordered to pay more than 700,000 yuan (US$102,520) to two victims by Jiading District People's Court.

On April 23, Wang Jianbin and two friends climbed aboard Wang's motorcycle after drinking. Wang lost control on Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway. One friend died and another was hurt. Wang was also badly injured.
